I.C.S.A. has collaborated to the 2011 NSPrize together with the Sanciolo Family (Major Project Sponsor), The Italian Institute of Culture (IIC) of Melbourne and the Gualtiero Vaccari Foundation.
The Concert, presented by the young Melbourne Soprano Susan Gamble – winner of the Prize and member of ICSA, was the closing event of an Opera Masterclass program that was at the core of the NS Prize 2011. The Concert was held at the Italian Cultural Institute of Melbourne.
The NS Prize is an initiative launched in 1993 to commemorate the life achievements of the journalist, author and artist Nino Sanciolo and has the aim of promoting the study of Italian language and culture and developing a practice in the Performing and Visual Arts.
The Concert program included arias from Italian Opera as well as two piano composition by Susan Gamble.
Special guests of the Concert were Dott. Stefano Fossati – Director of the IIC of Melbourne also representing Dott. Marco-Mattacotta Cordella – Consul General of Italy for Victoria and Tasmania, Mr Franco Vaccari – President of the Vaccari Foundation, – Dott.Ivano Ercole – Director of Rete Italia, representatives for the Italian media in Australia and representatives of the Italian and Australian community of Melbourne.
